~ Setting Those Darn Reminders ~

Those Things That Lend A Helping Hand

I’ve recently finished my book, the book is titled The Secret. Now I titled this post based on what I believe is one of the biggest benefits that it has given me so far; remembering to remember. Written by Rhonda Byrne, which I am feeling blessed to write down as this woman has truly opened my mind and changed my perspective. I feel that the words written in this text will be embedded into my system as time goes on, it is a lot to take in, truly. Though through setting those darn reminders I feel that with hundreds of sticky notes and countless pencils I will be able to retain an enormous portion of the teachings written in The Secret.

Thank You Rhonda.
Thank You Rhonda.

I wrote about what this book has done for me so far in my last post here! I had a very hard time titling my last post as I was in such a state of excitement and there was so much new information floating around in my brain. Notice how I write “floating” not “fluttering”, feeling that all the information that has been passing through my mind has been positive makes me note that my thoughts are floating. When my thoughts “flutter” I feel distracted, living in the past or future; far from the present. Rhonda emphasizes meditation, positive thinking, attitude, and gratitude in the book but the biggest thing that has helped me so far is remembering to remember.

Before I found The Secret I didn’t think nearly as openly as I do now, not closed minded but not open to anything and everything like I feel now. Remembering all the little pointers and things that must be applied in  day to day life is an enormous challenge, this is why I created this post. I found that my room has quickly begun to become yellow in sticky notes, it began with waking up with saying “Thank You.” This quickly turned into a wall that looks to be scribbled on with various colors and different styles of calligraphy. Every word on my bedroom wall now means something to me, I get a variety of looks when people enter my room but these notes help me remember the things I must do to attain what I wish to attain.

  • Dreams
  • Materialism
  • Love
  • And Most Importantly, More Cook Books!

I do love cooking… A passion of mine, it’s something I look forward to each day! If you make the decision to read The Secret I highly encourage you to purchase a package of sticky notes, or to be more organized, a new journal! I feel happy just writing about the book, how unique is that? It goes to show what it has done for me so far, now I may be a little overzealous with what I have written about Rhonda’s book, though it truly has done me wonders and will be something I cherish for the rest of my life.

I wanted to pop in and share this with you all, those who have found the movie or book and begun studying the teachings, please keep in mind that remembering to remember is of great importance.

This is a lifetime of teachings in 198 pages!

Would you like to talk more about my past few days? I would be more than happy to share with you how I have gone about applying these teachings to my life. Visit our contact page to get in touch with me or Vix, I haven’t heard from him in a couple days, but I will say one thing; I am looking forward to hearing about his adventure.

God Bless,

Donna ~
